This is truly  a sprint distance event.

 Swim 400 yards

 Bike 11.75 miles
Run 3.1 miles
This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. If you are not an annual member of USAT, you will have either a $5.00 (age 17 and under), or $10.00 single day license fee to cover in addition to the event registration fee.
Many thanks to the Friends of Portage Lake. This active group of area residents is spearheading the volunteer effort for the race.  A large portion of the race proceeds will be going to support the valuable work of this group to protect and preserve beautiful Portage Lake.

Kaleb VanOrt, the 2010 USAT National Duathlon Champion absolutely slammed the Double Time Triathlon course Saturday, June 12, 2010. He cleared the 400 Yard swim, 11.75 Mile bike, and 3.1 Mile run distance in 49:03. Kaleb is seen here approaching the one mile mark on the run course on his way to a split of 15:34.  A total of 6 athletes went sub :60 on the course. Another half dozen were within a few breaths of that mark. Want to set a sprint course PR? See you here next year.
